School Allotments Spring into Action as Planting Prep Begins
Return to Latest News
Pupils and staff have been hard at work preparing our raised beds and allotment area for the upcoming growing season. With Winter behind us, pupils have taken on the challenge of clearing weeds, turning soil, and getting each bed ready for planting. It has been a demanding task, but the teamwork and determination shown by everyone involved have made a real difference in transforming the space.
Over the coming weeks, pupils will begin planting a wide range of fruits and vegetables, from leafy greens to root crops and soft fruits. Once harvested, this produce will be used directly in Food Technology lessons, giving pupils the full farm‑to‑fork experience and helping them make meaningful connections between growing, cooking, and healthy eating.
