On Tuesday 16th June, Mary Astell Academy welcomed a wide range of professionals from schools, health services, and SEND and inclusion teams from across the city for a professional open morning.

Headteacher Andrea Spowart gave a brief presentation, providing visitors with an insight into the context of Mary Astell and the school's work in supporting young people. The guests then enjoyed guided tours of the school, led by Deputy Headteacher, offering an opportunity to see the school's facilities and provision in action.

The pupils played an important role in the morning, warmly welcoming guests and serving refreshments throughout the event.

The visitors were highly complimentary about the school, praising the positive atmosphere, pupil engagement, and staff dedication. Many of them commented on how valuable they found the experience and appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the work taking place at Mary Astell and the difference it's making for young people and families across the city.
