Conspiracy Theories

In Literacy we have been learning about conspiracy theories. Pupils read and discussed as a group about the following conspiracies:

• First moon landing being faked
• The earth being flat
• Pop stars being cloned
• Denver International airport
• Assassination of John F Kennedy

Pupils shared other conspiracy theories that they have seen on TikTok or watched on online streaming sites. Pupils shared their views on conspiracies they believed in, such as Princess Dianna’s death not being an accident and how they think TuPac is still alive. The class produced a PowerPoint presentation writing a short paragraph on 3 conspiracies of their choice.

As a group they discussed why they think people believe in conspiracy theories and how it can be quite harmful believing some theories.
