Commando Joe’s

Each week the children in In Reach participate in an afternoon of “Commando Joe’s” activities. Through such activities pupils are encouraged by our trained Commando Joe’s leader to let off some steam and get involved in team building and character development. This is a successful, indirect approach to teaching real life skills such as teamwork, respect, and communication in a way that does not require traditional academia, therefore it is a great way to sustain energy and continue learning outside of the classroom. From this program, we have seen an increase in pupil and staff wellbeing alike! Giving the pupils the opportunity to work alongside staff with some healthy competition is something the whole team looks forward to as an exciting and energetic end to the week.
